Plateau Information commissioner promises open door policy under Lalong govt

The commissioner for information Plateau state Nazif Mohammed has promised open door policy that will give listening ear and build bridges between media and the general public.

The commissioner disclosed this during his official visit to the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Plateau state chapter on Tuesday, in Jos .

Nazif said the “rescue agenda” APC led administration of governor Lalong which is anchored on 5 key policy of Peace security and good governance, human capital development and social welfare, agriculture and rural development ,entrepreneurship and industrialization and physical infrastructure and environment respectively.

Nazif appealed to media practitioners to partner with the government in pursuance of the developmental strife of Plateau government.

He assured that APC led government will be, and remain a media friendly one and will therefore provide the right environment for journalists to do their work.

The commissioner challenged the practitioners to continue to be part of the efforts to sustain a peaceful Plateau state, urging them not rest on their support to build bridges of peace, love and understanding.

Mallam Nazif having gone round for visitation tour to all the parastatals under his ministry and public and private media houses ,organizations and security agencies that connected them ,he vows  to disseminate information on government policy and program, monitoring and coordinating activities of parastatals under the ministry and liaising with all media and communication outfits .

“I implore you to take advantage of the newly established relationship an support Government with developmental reports to avoid the unnecessary friction that often occurs on account of lack access to government information”.
