Zamfara Killings: CAN Youth Wing President Spits Fire, Condemn killings In Zamfara, Other Parts of The Country

The Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria, YOWICAN, has in strong term condemned the recent killings in Zamfara state as well as others parts of the country.

In an interview with newsmen in Office at the CAN National Headquarters Abuja, the National President of the Youth Wing of CAN (YOWICAN) Engr. Daniel Kadzai condemned in strong terms the mindless killings in Zamfara and other States in Nigeria.

He said; “Going through the records available from Adamawa State, over 200 killed between December 2017 to February 2018, Benue State over 200 killed including the 73 who giving mass burial by the state government, Nasarawa State over 50 killed in Awe, Keana and Obi and Taraba State, many people killed and still counting.

“It’s so unfortunate, that in spite of the bloodshed, some people are still over zealously carrying out their political campaigns while masses are left in tears with widows and orphans doubling daily.

“While appreciating the recent successes by our Nigeria Army and other securities agencies in securing the release of the abducted women police officers and university lecturers, the YOWICAN President said.

“We humbly wish to request that more effort be put in place to halt the mass killings and destructions of farm produce which poses threat to the survival of our nation Nigeria.”

He added that further that; “We expected to see solemn moments across Nigeria following the innocent bloods flowing in daily, unfortunately a lot of people are only concerned with 2019 elections.”
