The Young People Party,(YPP) Candidate, Amb, Dewan Gabriel, has appealed to political actors and their followers to ensure a peaceful campaign in the spirit of one Nigeria, ahead of the 2023 general elections, as he asked voters to vote wisely for credible politicians to move the country forward.
Amb.Dewan Gabriel Kudangbena , made this known in an interview with our correspondent during the Ballang-Shipang annual celebration and appeal fundraising at the primary school on Sunday in Plateau.
He sued for peaceful governorship, Presidential, National, and state assembly elections in Plateau state and the country at large.
He said: “Glory be to God for sparing our lives to witness yet another Christmas in spite of the heightened insecurity, hunger, and unemployment that ravaged our country in 2022.
According to him, if given the mandate he would impact positively on his constituency, we congratulate you for passing through 2022 after another season of stocktaking, we came back home to celebrate the heritage of our culture.
However,“I wish to join millions of Plateau people and Nigerians in general in congratulating all Christians on this festive season.
“Nigeria returns to the poll again from February to elect a new President, Governors, Senators, House of Representatives and State Houses of Assembly in an atmosphere already charged -amid violence and breach of the peace as campaigns take center stage”.
“he emphasized that another significance, had presented a golden opportunity for us politicians to campaign with peace, and for the voters to be assured of their safety, before, during, and after the elections vote those that can’t disappoint you and waste your votes seeking wealth .”
According to him, YPP has returned to the position of eminence with my emergence as a candidate in PKK, I urge you not to be deceived, vote for credible people who are ready to deliver.
Stressing that Ballang-Shipang symbolises the rich culture and God has endowed us with tradition to preach peace, honesty, love and fear of God.
He said, his driving force in seeking to serve the people of PKK as a member is a burn of desire to promote the tenets of democracy.
The candidate stressed the need for the people, irrespective of challenges, to imbibe and put such virtues into practice.
He said that Nigerians should imbibe the spirit of love and forgiveness during the festive period to strengthen existing friendships and establish new ones.
“I call on Christians, in particular, to vote with adherents of other faith, while also paying special attention to the poor, the needy, orphans and widows living among them,” he added.
He urged Nigerians to reflect on routine and spiritual deeds in the last year, and pray for better and prosperous years ahead.
