Youths Seek Security Cover Ahead Of APC Presidential Visit To Jos By Yakubu Busari, Jos

A group of youths in Plateau state under Youths G17 peace and progressive forum has tasked security apparatus in the state to beef-up security network ahead of APC, Presidential flag-bearer in Plateau state.
The leader of the group Bagos, condemned the recent burning of President Jonathan Campaign’s vehicles in the state and cautioned parents to ensure that their children obey the rules and regulation of electoral law in February general elections.
Bagos stressed that this was observe after their meeting in Jos to fashion out ways on how to addressing youth restiveness and the conduct of our youth during elections.
The group also condemned in its totality the attitude of politicians who encourage the use of violence, intimidation during electioneering campaign.
Bagos advised politicians to call their supporters to order as we prepare for the coming elections and also advice govt to strengthen and reinforce their security apparatus at violence prone areas towards the election
“We are calling on the law enforcement agencies to rise up to their challenges and bring to book all those behind the condemnable act, it observed that it would served as deterrent to violent prone youths and their sponsors”.
The group however call on all youths in the state to be peaceful during the conduct of the February general elections in the state, saying youths must resist violences to show that they are ready for leadership

The Youths also endorse the People Democratic Party Governorship Candidate in the state Senator Gyang Nyam Pwajok, adding that he is also a youth like them who has bring unity to the state and destroying boundaries of disunity amongst the youths of various tribes.
