Youth Leader Commends Gombe APC Guber Primary

A youth leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Gombe state, Abubakar Saidu Nafada, on Wednesday said that  the unity, sacrifice, commitment and dedication of all the  gubernatorial aspirants of the party contributed to conducting a peaceful and credible primary in the state.

 

“I must commend our aspirants for their unity and sacrifice in ensuring that the primary election did not record any incidence of violence, crime and criminality throughout the period of the exercise.”

 

Nafada said this in an exclusive interview with LEADERSHIP in Gombe, observing that Mohammed Inuwa Yahaya candidature will surely lead the party to victory in 2019.

 

“The overall success of the Primary last Sunday underscores the fact that the party in the State is peaceful, set and ready to wrestle power from the ruling party, I see Inuwa Yahaya’s victory as a walk over for our party in the state.” He said.

 

While congratulating Inuwa Yahaya for emerging victorious, he commended the remaining aspirants for the maturity and spirit of sportsmanship the displayed, noting that the task ahead was for them to come together and set in motion political mechanisms that would make the party succeed in the general election.

 

He also commended the party leader in the state Senator Danjuma Goje, the state leadership and the primary committee for making Gombe people proud by successfully organizing and coordinating the exercise.

 

On the tough task ahead of repositioning the Party, he said there is no scintilla of doubt that “we can also count on Senator Goje, who has made our Primary a huge success”. He said.

 

Nafada who emerged as the runner up for the position of national youth leader at the last APC convention advised the party to bring on board selfless, season and committed progressives who are capable hands to work together during its campaign periods.

 

He said that it was only by so doing that eligible electorate would be mobilised to cast their votes to all the party candidates in general elections.

 

He also called on politicians to play responsible politics and preach the principles of tolerance and understanding to ensure free, fair and credible elections.
