A committee of forum of elders in Bauchi led by Alhaji Mohammad Bello Kirfi, Wazirin Bauchi, has written a letter of urgency to the Bauchi State Governor Mohammed Abubakar, over the deplorable conditions of almost all facilities in the State, such as schools, hospitals and others.
In the letter dated 24th November, 2017, the elders raised many issues such as non-appointment of Commissioners since the state executive council was dissolved last year, no intention to conduct Local Governments election, no commitment about payment of gratuities to retired civil servants, no leave grants, and under development of the State.
Other things the elders cited in their letter which was received by Chief Security Officer of the Governor includes, the dilapidated nature of the state’s educational institutions, the State’s health care system is.
As learnt by this medium two months since after writing this letter, there has not been any reply or even any audience with elders as demanded by the them in the letter.
