You Are Now A Worse Villain Trampling The Rule Of Law, Riding Rough Shod On All Tenets Of Democracy, Gyang Tells Lalong

  • Berates Lalong For Illegality, Indecency  and Siege Laid On House Of Assembly

Senator I. D. Gyang of Plateau North and Deputy Chairman Senate Committee on Defence has condemned in strong terms the siege laid on the Plateau State House of Assembly and the failed impeachment of the Speaker masterminded by the state government.

In a statement by his Special Assistant  Media and  Protocol, Musa Ibrahim Ashoms, he said; “Senator Gyang says the Governor who was once a victim of abuse of the rule of law has turned round to be a worse villain trampling the rule of law and riding rough shod on all tenets and practice of democracy, constitutionality and decency.”

“The Senator says the purported impeachment is not only an absurdity which contradicts Section 92(c) of the constitution but blatantly violates the Rules of the House of Assembly and all known legislative practices globally.

Senator Gyang says consequent upon this inexcusable acts of illegality the government now constitutes a clear and present danger to peace and democracy and should be held responsible for the whereabout and safety of the group of fourteen Members of the Plateau state House of Assembly, the persecuted but gallant defenders of democracy and constitutionality. “
