You Are Not A Grassroots Politician :Ideato South Monarchs Lampoons Commissioner For Gender, Nkechi Ugwu

Traditional Rulers of Ideato South LGA,Imo State, last Friday 7th August 2020, paid a courtesy visit to the Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodinma on Women Mobilization,Hon.Chief Mrs. Josephine Nnoham, (Madam Sososo) in her Owerri office.

 

The Royal Fathers in Ideato South ably led by the Traditional Ruler of Ntueke Ancient Kingdom, HRH Eze Kyrian Chinedu, Ezeoha II of Ntueke, alongside eighteen other Traditional Rulers of Ideato South.

 

Speaking collectively at the visit, the Ideato South Monarchs jointly expressed satisfaction on the appointment of Mrs.Nnoham (Madam Social) as SA to the Governor on Women Mobilization,whom they described her position as a square peg in a square hole.

 

In his words,the Chairman, Council of

Traditional Rulers in Ideato South, HRH Eze Peter Ekesobi Ewuzie,(Nchachagu) of Umuakam Autonomous Community in Ideato South,thanked Governor Uzodinma for appointing Madam Social as the Mobilizer of Women in Imo State.

 

Eze Ewuzie therefore described Uzodinma as the “Hope” of Ndi-Imo, but called on all his political detractors to rally support for the Shared Prosperity Govt.of the day in the state.

 

Adding his voice, the Traditional Ruler of Umucheke Autonomous Community, HRH Eze  Ekenedirichukwu David Obinali, JP, (Eze Okorokaikemba I of Umucheke. Orji Mmuo Kuru) extolled the Governor for making a wonderful choice by selecting Madam Social in cabinet as an appointee.

 

Eze Okorokaikemba while speaking congratulated the SA on her appointment but charged her to duties.

 

He mores expressed optimism that SA Nnoham must surely deliver.

 

“We all know her a grassroots political mobilizer. We are happy with her office and she would never ever disappoint the entire people of Ideato South. Our prayer for her is to succeed and we must continue to drum support for her”,Eze Ekene maintained.

 

Speaking further, Eze EDC Obinali,  unequivocally frowned bitterly on the appointment of the Commissioner for Gender and Vulnerable Group Affairs, Imo State, Hon.Lady Nkechi Ugwu, which according to him disclosed that he has passed a vote of no confidence on the Commissioner her inability to reach the masses at the grassroots.

 

” I do not think we have any Commissioner in Ideato South. She is not a grassroot politician. Her office does exit in the eyes of the people of Ideato South. Yes, off course we have no Commissioner yet in Ideato South. If the Governor wants to give us a Commissioner, let him give us a Commissioner that will reach the grassroots. We need a Commissioner that can solve the problems of the masses. The Commissioner does not have a single capacity to represent Ideato South and we have seen and witness that she is not a grassroot persons”, he insisted.

 

“Nothing to show that we have a Commissioner in Ideato South. The only political appointee we know at the moment in Ideato South remains the Special Adviser (Madam Social). She is a grassroots political mobilizer and she has officially recognized us a Traditional Rulers and we must show her our support”, Eze Okoroikemba submitted.

 

Meanwhile, the celebrated Special Adviser, Chief Mrs.Nnoham, in her words expressed joy to be  honoured by the Council of Ideato South Traditional Rulers and vowed never to disappoint them and the entire good people of Ideato South.

 

Madam Sososo as fondly called added that she must always carry all the Royal Fathers in the Local Govt.and the masses along in Ideato South.
