You Are No March To Lalong, Plateau APC Tells JT Useni

The All Progressive Congress, APC, Plateau State chapter has said that the candidate of the opposition PDP Gen JT Useni is no march to its candidate, Governor Simon Lalong.

APC made this boast through its Plateau state secretary. Alh Bashir Musan -Sati, as he said there is no room for money bags in 2019 and only credible candidates can make it, General JT Useni is no longer untouched with the present reality on the Plateau.

He disclosed that Gen Useni has lost touch with the grassroots politics of Plateau people and can’t put a threat to Governor Simon Lalong who has done a lot to restore the state from bloodletting politicians.

Musan -Sati in an interview at his residence over the weekend in Jos stated that Sen. Jeremiah Useni spent half of his life outside the state and considering achievements Lalong has lived up to expectations by bailing Plateau from the shackle of crisis.

According to him, the detention of the former Governor Sen. Joshua Dariye won’t affect APC because Lalong has performed; God knows he refused to be pocketed by godfathers although the party is feeling his absence as he will soon join us before the general electioneering campaign period.

We are not worried and we are not disturbed, we don’t have doubt, the campaign is not for money bags but for people who understand the system who are really ready to effect change.

He explained further that, Useni has no knowledge of Plateau, he spent half of his life outside the state, he is not conversant with Plateau politics so he should maintain his position as the stakeholder and he should sit down and advise.

Bashir stressed that anybody thinking Lalong has not performed, to that person he or she is wrong and it is an error, Governor Simon Lalong was able to bail Plateau from the general suspicious, Lalong predecessor, Sen David Jang spent 8 years and there is no year that came and gone that there was no single crisis.

He reiterated that the Governor has built bridges of trust amongst Muslims and Christians in the state as he said before there are no-go areas of Muslims of Christians.

Governor Simon Lalong also ensured the protection of his people’s lives but during the regime of Jang projects are concentrated in a particular community, but when the present regime took over the state, my community of Angwan Rogo, we never dreamt of having a culvert but go and see no houses were demolished and roads constructed.

Bashir said Lalong is a God made the governor, he has a cordial working relationship with Dariye, then when he was a governor Lalong was his speaker, they contested and won in different political platform after then Dariye decamped to APC.
