Gold do not rust, we all know. Among the other chemical elements and precious metals that rust however, there is the stainless steel. Besides the stainless steel, there is also the stained steel. Here is the picture or portrait of one typical stained steel that presented itself and even glittered in the afternoon yesterday in the market as a stainless steel, only for us to discover the following morning that it is a stained steel.
A leader is meant to serve the people, enhance their life and bring about the development of the society. There is no gainsaying the fact that the 2015 elections got the widest support of the Nigerian people, just as the incumbent member of the House of Representatives, representing Kaduna-North Federal constituency, Hon. Sama’ila Sulaiman enjoyed and benefitted from the abundant, enormous and overwhelming support, goodwill and votes from the electorate here.
With his election, we; naturally and justifiably, expect, need and wish for better, fairer or greater deals from him. We hope for the continuity of all good government policies and programmes, just as we have reposed so much hope, trust and confidence in him, in spite of the fact that his past lack-luster performance as the Kaduna-North Local Government Area Chairman was overlooked.
Unfortunately however, the news about a clueless leader, the news about the poor representation, service and stewardship of Hon. Sama’ila Sulaiman is the talk of the town, while his dishonesty, insecurity, breach of trust and indebtedness to his bankers in Abuja, is the cheapest diary in Kaduna today. He is totally and completely inaccessible to his electorate, disdainful of those that elected him and deceitful in his conducts.
His pace is not matching or rhyming with the steps being taken, the movement, the strides and the efforts being made to develop Nigeria nor is his page intended with the high expectations that the change in leadership which propped him up to power demands. His conducts are at variance with his popular campaign slogan of FARAR ANIYA LAYA = the best of intentions suffices to be a bulwark against damage.
If truth be told, our experience with this lawmaker is that, he is a Moses in words, but pharaoh in deeds and actions – Musa a baka, amma fir’auna a zucci – instead of us witnessing the demonstration of “the best of intentions” FARAR ANIYA, what we are witnessing is (BAKAR ANIYA): “the worst of intentions” to enrich self, which is (GUBA CE) a poison.
Indeed, the Kaduna-North federal Constituency yearned for and expected the best or an exemplary representation, but alas its lot, portion or share this dispensation is despair, disappointment, dis-enhancement, disillusionment and hopelessness. The electorates of the constituency are now nostalgic of the former member Alhaji Shehu ABG. KOWA YA TUNA BARA BAI JI DADIN BANA BA – whoever is nostalgic of the past, did not have it good in the present day.
In lieu of vibrant representation that befits out constituency, what we people of Kaduna North Federal constituency has to show is suffering as the reward for our love, our dividend of democracy is favouritism and selective treatment from or by our elected representative. Apart from his poor representative roles, even his other basis or forms of relationship with the electorate is fraught with unpleasant and unwholesome experiences.
Only members of the APC Local Government Executive Council (EXCOs) are the beneficiaries of Sama’ila SUlaiman’s dividends of democracy, EXCO members that were not elected but almost all deceptively handpicked, apologists, appointees, boys of the boss, conspirators and dull or illiterate chaps, obediently doing the bidding of their master, licking his ass and betraying their people. Mention must be made of some exceptions here like Jafar Malali, Zakirai Unguwan-Shanu and one gentleman call Magaji Mabo from Kawo Daddy Shaba Ward Doka.
If one may as; what did he do or helped in doing for the Kaduna-North Federal Constituency so far? What is he preparing to do? What is his vision, input and stake for the constituency in the current 2017 budget estimates of the Federal Government? Any hope for the future? Honestly, it is a good time now for us and fo all patriotic members of the public to speak up, to demand for accountability, explanations and transparency. There should be no docility in us, no fatalism. We ought to be proactive all. In fact we can even advocate, agitate or campaign for RECALL. Meseems affecting a recall can serve a purpose and teach some lesson.
One good and happy thing about the non-performance and poor outing of Hon. Sama’ila Sulaiman is the late realization (by him) of his imminent fall, and his reputation is in irreparable ruin. And now there is also his desperation to keep or remain afloat. Perhaps one only needs to refer him to his closest neighbour and colleague. Hon. Rufa’i A.A Chanchangi to see or learn how Federal constituencies are fairly treated by their leaders and representatives.
TIPS ON VOLUME 2 TO COME OUT NEXT:
I am closing up by addressing the recent crisis between zone 2 senator and the Executive Governor Mal. Nasiru El-Rufai he is trying in Kaduna state, all we know, but who are to blame in this particular crisis. Where the political adviser is, and what has he done the matter at hand to be solved. But all we know 2019 will talk or show the different.
We the youth of Kaduna State need a leader who can give us courage in the face of difficult, hope in the face of despair even life in the face of death our next series will come out soon about the other.
Dear brothers, till I come your way another day. Bisslam.
