Ahead of the 2023 Presidential Campaign for who takes over from President Muhammadu Buhari,The Kogi State House of Assembly has garnered their support for the incumbent Governor,Yahaya Bello with the entire House members campaigning for the Governor.
The ardent steps taken by the incumbent Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello was to wipe up a hideout of harden criminals and all is history.
The Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Princess Mathew Kolawole disclosed this when the presidential campaign team paid a visit to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly.
Kolawole said the North-central zone deserved a presidential seat come 2023 not the seat of national Chairmanship of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Describing Kogi state as one of the women-friendly states. He attested that majority of the Local Governments were headed by women as Council Chairmen apart from the key positions of Secretary to the State Government.
The Speaker described Kogi state as one of the most religious tolerance states, adding that since the creation of Kogi state religion is never a hiccup to the development of the State, He, however, said the legislative and executive arm of Government in Kogi state is working in synergy as a family.
Mathew Kolawole confided that the House of Assembly is solidly behind the presidential ambition of the Governor.
He explained that the dream of reviving Ajeokuta steel rolling mills would be feasible if Governor Yahaya Bello emerged as the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“We are in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly to solicit for the support of the member of the Assembly to shower support to the youngest Governor in the country”.
The Rt.Honorable Speaker of the State Assembly affirmed that electing Governor Yahaya Bello as the next president of Kogi state would go a long way to add value to the entire country.
Mathew Kolawole confided that Yahaya Bello says the dredging of River Benue and Niger have been abandoned, which he explained is two steps backward.
