Women’s Wing Imo NURTW Holds Monthly Summit In Owerri

Some women under the aegis of “Imo NURTW Women’s Wing” drawn from across the 27 LGA’s of Imo State ably led by their Woman Leader, Comr.Lolo Abigail Emeakama, have successfully concluded their monthly meeting.

The Woman Leader, Emeakama, in his words, harped on the needs to be active and proactive towards the affairs of the union and to ensure the rapid growth amongst the female folks as unionists.

According to the leader of women, ” The meeting is aimed at assisting the State Union Chairman, Comr.Sam Udeh, and his entire members of the union to succeed in the state”.

Speaking further, Emeakama, thereby prayed God to give the women of the union the strength and zeal to move the union forward, even as she prayed God to continue to direct the leadership of the union led by Udeh, and beseeched God to give the Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, the understanding and wisdom to govern the state.

She added that the women under the platform of Imo NURTW Women’s Wing shall always drum support for the Shared Prosperity Government.

Continuing, the Imo NURTW State Chairman, Hon.Sam Udeh,(Ezeumuokorobia) who was represented by the State Secretary, Comr. Franklyn Uchehara (JP), encouraged the women to always remain committed, steadfast and focused as it concerns the growth of the union in Imo.

Uchehara, while admonishing the women, extolled the leadership of the Women Leader, Lolo Emeakama, and her led executive members, but charged them to go into the grassroots for massive mobilization.

“Don’t work in isolation. Always leave up to expectations, your gathering will not end in Imo State rather it will take you all to the National level for breakthroughs as union members.

“We are assuring you that whatsoever you want shall be grant unto you. But you must be united because united we stand”,  Uchehara encouraged them.

The Imo NURTW Scribe, Uchehara, in his goodwill message, described the gathering of the women under the union as legal, lawful and enshrined in the constitution in line with Article 23,  Section 8, which empowers the encouragement/ recognition of Women in active participation under Trade Union Act.

On the same, the Vice Woman Leader, Comr.Madam Ijeoma Anyanwu, in company of some other vibrant and ebullient women of substance who were present in their collective words, promised to left up all the activities of the union to greater heights.

The monthly summit recorded a very huge success with massive jubilation for the successful outing of the month of April.

All of Imo NURTW Women present expressed gladness for the successful Monthly Summit held in Owerri.
