Why I Dropped My Speakership Ambition To Support Tajudeen Abbas -Gagdi

The Member Representing Kanam,Kanke, and Pankshin Federal Constituency. Hon. Yusuf Babayo Gagdi has disclosed his reasons for supporting the candidacy of Tajudeen Abbas to emerge to win the speaker of the 10th assembly in the green chamber.

Gagdi made this disclosure in an interview he granted journalists at the Plateau State High Court, No 2 in Jos on Friday.

He said that as a grassroots politician of high repute, I was at the tribunal as an APC family to pay solidarity with high expectations to the victory of APC and stimulate and also to supporters’ spirit.

According to him, Dr Nentawe G.Yilwatda is a personal friend that I  can’t abandon him at this critical period like this so I have to be at the tribunal to witness the proceedings.

Babayo Gagdi emphasized that his reasons for stepping down to support the northwest candidate of Rt Hon.Tajudeen Abbas candidature in the 10th assembly was my respect for the leadership of the party and also the decision of Mr President who has already expressed his intention known to the party adhered to it.

He maintained that as loyal party man Femi Gbajamiala and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are personal political associates, I can’t abandon them at a critical time of their political sojourn and I do that in the spirit of oneness of the APC family.

Gagdi noted that the stakeholders meeting held yesterday was not for reconciliation because there is nothing to reconcile there, it was a normal meeting of the APC and he reiterated that there is no crises in the party that calls for any reconciliation.

He disclosed that, myself Gagdi, I wasn’t at Kalwa house for any political reconciliation because we only had stakeholders meeting with men and women supporters group.

Gagdi babayo called on APC supporters to be law-abiding to also understand that we are law-abiding citizens and we are not lawbreakers right from supreme I said today in the media that we are true respecters of law and true democrats that know the rule of law.

He vowed that the Nentawe would be sworn in as the next Governor of Plateau state because he had a landslide victory at the poll .

Adamu Babayo Gagdi explained further the people of PKK should expect more dividends of democracy that he is going to speed up in the 10th Assembly to improve the constituency because yesterday the house gave me a juicy post to investigate the frauds and corruption of over 175 federal government agencies of alleged shady deals under their watch.
