When Jacob Was Kidnapped We Reported To Osokadoko But He Told Us That In His Chiefdom Nobody Searches For A Missing Persons-Tiv Spokesperson Tell Journalists

The spokesperson of Tiv Community in Kadarko,Mr.Emmanuel Orguga Uwuan has open the Pandora box that the traditional ruler of Kadarko,Umar Dodo was responsible for all the skimishes that bediviled Tiv in Kadarko community of Keana Local Government of Nasarawa State.

 

Orguga disclosed this during a press conference held at the office of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists said Fulani mercenaries are acting on the script of the paramount ruler of Kadarko.

 

Tiv community called on the constituted authorities in the land to take a proactive steps in fishing out the recalcitrant.

 

“We are demanding for Justice for our death brother Jacob Mbaume who was kidnapped and subsequently killed by Fulani”.

 

“This dead person Jacob Mbaume from Bature community was kidnapped on the 6th April,2020 and when we reported to His Royal Highness told us that in his chiefdom nobody search for a missing person even when the operatives of Department of State Security Services in Keana and the Divisional Police Officer in Kadarko ordered that the missing person should be searched for but the embattled Chief said no and after three weeks ,The corpse of Jacob was discovered close to Rugan Fulani at Nature community,The the two security agencies witnessed this,we still believe that investigation will unearth his killers and demand Justice for his death.

 

Describing the traditional ruler as lawless by sponsoring Fulani militia sending our people away from their houses as well matcher anybody that stand their way.

 

Also the spokesperson of the group said the Osokadoko, Umar Dodo was the one heralding the intermittent attacks Tiv community of Kadarko.

 

Mr. Emmanuel Uwuaun Orguga in strong terms says Tiv in Kadarko community are not aliens rather bonafide indegines of Keana Local Government Council.

 

Revealing that Tiv people serves in different capacities  in Awe and Keana Local Governments before Alago and Gwandara people.

 

Accusing the traditional ruler of abuse of tarnishing the exalted stool of paramount ruler by applying tranny, oppression and gross abuse of monarchical privileges thus negating the holistic effort of Governor Sule to ensure peaceful Nasarawa State.

 

According to him,”Tiv  people of Nasarawa State have been here long before the existence of the former administrative divisions in Nigeria known as provinces which were in used in colonial Nigeria shortly  after independence from 1900 to 1967 and subsequently creation of States.

 

According to him, “Tivs served as elected representatives to represent the people of Awe and Keana whom includes , Hon. Athanasius Tyo was elected into Federal House of Representatives in 1979 and represented this constituency in Lagos, The first Councilor was a Tiv man, in person of Hon. Emmanuel Dewua in 1967,The second was also Hon. Innocent Ben from Awe in 1976 and the third Tiv was Hon. Emmanuel Kumbur from Awe in 1988.

 

Others are was Hon. William Audu, supervisory Councilor from Awe in 1990 and Hon.Benjamin Agbede from Keana in the year 1997,All these are Tiv’s and nobody laid any claim that they are settlers, where is the claim coming from now, he asked.

 

“Is on record that the first Alago Councilor in the area was Asabayu Sabo Keana followed by Baba Abdullahi Keana all in the twenties, asking pertinent question that in the ninteeths when Tiv held the exalted seats intermittently where are the Alago’s and Gwandara people ?

 

The Osokadoko, Umar Dodo in a telephone interview told our reporter that he was in a meeting and promised to get back to our reporter, But as at press time the paramount ruler would not be reached for comment.
