Wheat Farmers in Jigawa state have commended President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration for bringing them back to the limelight through various agricultural interventions.
This was made known at the Flag off of the distribution of farming implements in Kachallari village of Mallam Madori local government area of the state

Alhaji Adamu Hardo noted that Agriculture was contributing to the nation’s economy more than the oil sector
Some of the farmers who spoke to Radio Nigeria expressed willingness to fully participate in the program.
They called for the arrangement of off-takers who would buy the product immediately after harvest
Stakeholders who spoke at the flag-off ceremony urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the farming implements and put at the back of their minds that they were going to pay back the loans for other farmers to benefit.
Our reporter who visited kachallari village found out that, the farmers under the umbrella of wheat farmers, processors, and marketers association of Nigeria in collaboration with the central bank of Nigeria CBN anchor borrowers program are to benefit from the loan of improved wheat seedlings, Fertilizers, water pump, sprayers and pesticides.
