The Chairman of a concerned group of the opposition political party in Nasarawa State, Jibrin Idris Ibrahim, has said they will resist any attempt by a few self-seeking individuals to marginalize or impose a candidate on them ahead of the 2027 primaries of the party.
Ibrahim gave the hint during a press briefing held at the State Secretariat of the NUJ in Lafia.
He accused the immediate past Chairman of the party in the State, now the Zonal Secretary, North-Central, Honorable Francis Orogu, of being the architect of the project.
He said the concerned group of the PDP would not fold its arms watching a few individuals engaging in illegal activities that would jeopardize the peaceful and united party in the State.
Jibrin Idris Ibrahim described the act as undemocratic and illegal, meant to adopt a candidate on them.
The leadership of the concerned People’s Democratic Party Stakeholders forum in Nasarawa State has called on the State working committee of the Party to urgently sanction Honorable. Francis Orogu and other party officials over the purported adoption of a particular aspirant, describing the move as false and undemocratic.
Chairman of the forum, Comrade Jibrin Idris Ibrahim, stated this while addressing Journalists during a press conference held at the NUJ Press Center in Lafia, the state capital.
It was reported that the PDP stakeholders were drawn from the 13 Local Government Areas of the State.
