The spokespersons of the Kure Community of Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State and Agaza Communities agreed that they gave mining consent to Timadix Geomin Consult to explore lithium in their communities.
Glene Madaki Mudu said he is a geography graduate, and all documents he presented are genuine from the Federal Ministry of Solid Minerals.
The spokesperson of Kure Community, during an interaction with selected journalists at Kure Community, told journalists that Timadix Geomin Consult had been given consent to proceed with exploration since 2022.
Not until March this year did they mobilize their engineers for exploration, and in the process they discovered that Sangarin Amba, Martins Kure, allegedly sold the mountain that lithium was discovered by collecting N35,000,000 million from Modassar, who told the people of Kure that the land was given to the Kure community by his ancestors.

The Mouthpiece of Kure Community
Glene Madaki said the community since its existence, nobody has ever told them that there was an agreement with any community that gave the land to their forefathers. The spokesperson told the visiting journalists of their trepidation since the discovery of lithium that the respected Sangarin informed him that 200 hectares of land were leased to Modassar.
Sangarin Amba and Hon. Daniel Ogazi, a member of the House of Assembly, are instrumental in the stationing of a combined team of security that comprises the Army and Civil Defense.
Glene, however, told the team of journalists in the market square that Hon. Ogazi had threatened to bring Chinese miners to Kure, telling them that they were state government miners.
“Not less than 5 miners came to us, but only Geomin Consult was given the consent to mine in Kure. Currently, we are drinking potable water from a borehole provided to our community by Geomin Consult. Apart from the borehole, we have other agreements, like the remodeling of Mai Angwa Palace.
Geomin Consult Are The Only Miners We Gave Our Consent
....they provided potable drinking water to the people of Kure.
The spokesperson of the community, Glene Madaki Mudu, told the visiting journalists, Ibrahim Danjuma Yakubu of Previous FM, Ibn Umar Abdullahi of Nasarawa Broadcasting Services (NBS), Lafia, and Rabiu Omaku of Universal Reporters, that the former Comptroller General of Immigration Service, now the Sangarin Amba, Martins Kure, told him that he leased the hilltop where Geomin Consult discovered lithium in large quantity after months of going round the community since 2022 to a Chinese firm known as Blackstone or Ganfen.
He added that the Chinese miners have no community development agreement with Kure Community, in addition to this, I’m aware that in June this year, the state commissioner of environment, Yakubu Boer Kwanta, announced the closure of the site, saying Geomin Consult is lacking some documents to operate.
The team of journalists and some stakeholders climbed up to the mining site to see things for themselves. A geologist with Geomin Consult, Usman Mujjadadi, said he was humiliated by the security and the Commissioner of Environment, Hon. Kwanta, as well as one of their drivers, who was beaten to a stupor.
Also, Monday Ogelebe from Igwo affirmed that the Agaza community only knows of Geomin Consult as legitimate miners within the axis. As of press time, the Sangarin Amba, Martins Kure, would not be reached. It was revealed that he traveled out of the country and will only return to Nigeria after New Year.
Hon. Ogazi debunked the statement, saying he sunk a new borehole for the Kure Community recently.
“I was disturbed and advised them to support anything that the state government wanted to do within the community.”.
Thank God, you know me as a God-fearing person. They are my constituents, he added.
