We Are Not Crumbling; No Debt Burden- Med-View Airline

Med-View Airline has debunked reports in some online media that it suspended operations on some of its routes due to indebtedness.

The airline’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Michael Ajigbotosho, on Tuesday in Lagos, said the reports were fraught with falsehood.

Ajigbotosho said contrary to the reports, the four aircraft in the Med-View Airline’s fleet were wholly owned by the airline and not leased, adding that they were acquired from Aercap and Thai Air.

He said there was a lot of misinformation about the airline’s indebtedness to vendors, noting that anyone who wanted to know the truth should reach out to FAAN, among other agencies.

“In an ongoing business, it is normal to have agreements with service providers to give line of credit, which is a standard industry practice.

“The suspension of operations into some of our international routes has to do with our two aircraft- B767-300ER for cabin reconfiguration and B737-500 undergoing maintenance.

“They have nothing to do with threats or any debt burden,’’ Ajigbotosho said in a statement.

According to him, as soon as the aircraft return to service, the airline will restore operations to those routes.

It will be recalled that some online media had alleged that Med-View Airline had suspended its operations to London and Dubai as well as scaled down operations on its regional routes due to indebtedness to service providers.
