The People’s Democratic Party, PDP says it is marking time, as there would be a great tsunami in the ruling party All Progressives Congress, APC, before the 2023 General election in the country.
Jigawa State Chairman of the PDP, Babandi Ibrahim Gumel stated this at the weekly media engagement forum of the correspondents chapel in Dutse, the state capital.
He said looking at the condition the All Progressive Congress (APC) put its citizens through it would be difficult for Nigerians to accept the party.
The chairman said Nigerians have in totality lost confidence and are ready to vote the party out coming 2023.
“APC had used all sorts of lies and promises for Jigawa State people and the country at large in order to accept them in 2015 and today the people appeared disappointed after given them the mandates”
“The poverty level, illiteracy, disease, child mortality, malnutrition, lack of access to agricultural inputs have kept increasing since the coming of APC in power in the state and at the federal level”
Babandi noted that the party is working day and night to bounce back to power and clear the APC and its atrocities in the 2023 general elections.
He said the party has recently accepted thousands of APC loyalists on its fold from different parts of the state.
Babandi said all party members who left the party very soon will definitely return to the party, especially those that joined the ruling party APC .
Babandi confirmed that over 5000 members are expected to rejoin their party from the ruling party and some from other parties.
Hon babandi that the claim by APC that over 3,500.000 party members from PDP decamped to APC, was not true.
