Wase Women To Organize Protest To Stop Killing Of People

The interim President of Wase Women Development Association (WAWODA),Hajiya Safiya Adamu has tasked the people of Wase Local government council to eschew violence and love one another for the progress of the state.

Hajiya Adamu made   this called  in a press statement made available to the media on their plan nomination of women peace rally in Wase town scheduled for Monday May 25th ,2015 at the central Field by 8.00am .

She said, the peace Rally is expected to draw participants from all the four Districts of Wase LGA ,Wase ,Kadarko,Lamba and Bashar ,she adviced women and  key players to shift their sword and embrace peace and also  stop the killing of innocent women and children .

According to her, the  Wase crises which have lasted for over 17 years need to stop ,we are more vulnerable to this dastardly act , the devastating effect of the conflict have left many of our women widows and displaced many  citizens who are living in object poverty and unnecessary hatred among Christians and Muslims .

Adding that people have lost their beloved ones and socio-economic activities have been paralyzed owning some selfish individual whose stock in trade is cause crises and confusion ,since the rift over councilorship in Lamba Wadkat spread across the districts

Mrs Adamu noted that the protesting women are expected to dress in white attires which signify the return of peace that can restore love and understanding among the people .

She said ,we   organized violence free protest in Wase ,Kadarko, Lamba and Bashar districts to let the world know that we are tired of been killed by our own people over communal land dispute .

Hajiya SAFIYA pointed out that the situation have defied long term solution so all tribes and religion are concerned are alarming rate of destruction and deepening divide among the diverse groups in the LGA and teamed up to organize a national government to dire respond urgently to stop the hostility and come to dialogue in addressing their plight.

She appealed to the incoming administration to focus more in restoring peace to the people of Wase LG that have been ravaged by crisis.
