Wase NIO Endorses Lalong Senatorial Ambition In 2023

In the aftermath of Governor Simon Bako Lalong coronation of the Ponzhi  O’Taroh  in Kadarko District of, Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State, the Ngwan Ishi Otaroh , NIO, Wase branch the Association has endorsed him to run for Plateau South Senatorial seat at drumming their unalloyed support for 2023  Governor Simon Bako Lalong.

 

 

This  Chairman, Ngwang Ishi Otarok (NIO), Wase LGA, Hon. Lohga Zinkat Baba made this disclosure while expressing confidence in the leadership of Lalong at the occasion of the installation and presentation of Second Class staff of office to Chief Lot Nden as Ponzhi Kadarko and Alh. Muhammad Tafida Asi II as Aku Mavo at the Council Secretariat of Wase Local Government.

 

According to him, he described Lalong as a great politician and a grassroots mobilizer whose emancipation agenda would encourage peaceful coexistence among the citizens of the state.

 

 

Lalong second tenure as governor has ended two decades of conflicts that many lost their lives and properties to conflict, we believed he is a Messiah to do what other past leaders failed to do.

 

Consequently, it has been rumoured in some quarters that he would either go for the Plateau Southern Zone Senatorial seat or seek for nomination as Presidential running mate.

 

However, Hon. Zinkat noted that the installation and presentation of staff of office to Chief Lot Nden was the turning point in the history of the Taroh Nation of Wase LGA because of the symbol of authority and identity it has received stressing that the Taroh man now can go to sleep with his eyes closed. “As a matter of fact, your administration has done to us what no other administration has ever done.

 

“Indeed, you are the true rescuer of your people. The Taroh Nation of Wase is proud to be associated with you. Sir, we know to whom much is given, much is expected. “Therefore, the Taroh Nation has collectively and unanimously resolved to support you and your administration come 2023”, he said.

 

The Community leader further stated that the Taroh Nation has vowed to tear the line of peace as demonstrated during the “Taroh Nation Embrace Peace” event held recently. “Suffice it to say that, peace has come to stay on our land and we will continue to ‘think peace and act peace’ by working round the clock to ensure the sustainability of this hard-earned peace that Plateau state is now witnessing”, Hon Zinkat stated.
