Vulnerable Women, Orphans  Receive Foodstuffs, Scholarship From Kabisha Foundation

At least no fewer than 100 vulnerable and displaced persons in Jos North LGA, have been empowered with food items to cushion the effect of the hard times, among them were women and orphans.

A nongovernmental organization set up with the sole aim of alleviating poverty and reducing hardship that is being faced by the people of his immediate community.

The Founder of Kabisha foundation of Jos Jarawa ward  Hon.Itse Ishaya has said foodstuffs distributed include, Rice, Maggi seasoning, Palm oil and assorted foodstuffs to be used for the forthcoming Christmas celebration.

He explained further that the NGO provided scholarships to orphanages in the community and also advance the progress of displaced persons.

The embattled chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Itse Ishaya has disclosed that the extent of distributing the assorted foodstuffs to the vulnerable members of this community is to assist those who are helpless and need the support of philanthropists.

He said what spurred him more was borne out of his desire to render a helping hand to women whose breadwinners are no more, he said; “I developed an interest to fight the scourge of poverty and hunger by encouraging them to see themselves as member of one family.

Hon Ishaya reinstated that the country’s level of poverty is gradually rising above the common man, but he promised to ensure that he would use his lean resources to benefit from; Hon Itse Ishaya said over 200 orphans got scholarships in the six local governments.
