VP Namadi Sambo Urges Politicians To Exercise Caution In Playing Safe

Vice President Namadi Sambo has urged politicians in the country to see politics as a noble profession that can improve well being of the Nigerians populace.
Represented by Sen Isaiah Ballak at the commissioning and launch of the political party Leadership and policy development centre at National Institute for policy and strategic studies (NIPSS) ,Kuru ,JOS
The Vice President tasked political class to play safe during their electioneering campaign in order to promote the country democracy, adding that  as leaders we are support to continue playing vital role which will give ideas about how a society should be governed by identify and train political leaders and also act as a link between citizens and their government.

Sambo called on leaders to enhance their capacity in response to changing circumstances that might arise, saying political parties will Decline over time if they do not make conscious effort to strengthen the structure.
He stressed further that let participation in this training become the important turning point in re-positioning the challenges building successor in Nigeria politics.
The Vice President advised that leadership is developed through a never ending process of self study, education, training and experience we acquired.
According to him, the administration is consistently committed itself to support free ,fair and credible elections in the country by establishing this centre to raise and build capacity of political parties to play their own role in achieving and sustaining this noble task.
Governor Jonah David Jang who was represented by his Deputy Ignatius Longjan added that Plateau state is fast reclaiming its status as a foremost center for the meeting of people and minds.
He however said that the fate of democracy can’t be separated from the fate of those who practice it.
Jang cautioned that in the light of the commotion among political parties ahead of the 2015 general election, it is pertinent to underscores the need to preserve the sanctity of our nationhood.
He explained further that the conference is gear toward producing a book on political parties which will serve as excellence goals in achieving a better democracy.
The Project Director, Dr.Mourtada Deme said initiative to strengthen the capacity of political parties became necessary as one of the pillars in the research to sustain learning experiences and opportunity for policy implementation application.
However, he added when we considered popular attitudes on political parties around the world, many of them reflect strongly negative views held by the public.
