Veteran Sports Editors In Plateau Drums Support For Mrs Tallen As Sports Minister Under The APC Regime By Yakubu Busari,Jos

Group of sports Editors resident in Plateau state have drummed support for the appointment of former Hon Deputy Governor, Mrs Pauline Tallen as minister of sports Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Addressing media on the plan to lobby for the appointment of former deputy governor yesterday as sports minister.

The coordinator Comrade Sadiq Sumbelep appealed to the President-elect General Muhammadu Buhari  to consider her for ministerial nomination going by her records of performance while in office .

He said ,the group are veteran sports journalists who drummed their support  for the appointment of Mrs Tallen under of  General Buhari the president -elect.

According to him, in view of her contribution to grassroots sport development in Plateau state during her tenure as sport commissioner and the founder of  Shendam private school sport development ,we appeal that she should be consider for appointment as sports minister.

He emphasized that; the rural-urban sports development has been neglected by the past government so we express confidence the present regime reawaken the situation.

Adding that   building and empowering grassroots sports is a task which need to be promoted by APC government.

The media sports development centre reiterated their concern in promoting the sports development and engaging youth on meaningful development.
