Despite promises made on different grounds while on campaigns, the former Executive Assistant on beautification to Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and the House of Assembly member representing Aniocha South, Hon. Angela Nwaka has abandoned her community and continues to pay dear ears to the cries and yearnings of the people whose mandate she rose to the top.
Nwaka whose stock in trade is to use and dump the youths had to abandon the community where she lives before getting into power and relocate to Asaba, the state capital in order not to contribute a dine to the electricity issue be delving the community.
It would be recalled that for the past 6 years, the community has been in total darkness. According one Okonji, ”as a matter of fact, a six years old child born in Ogwashi-Uku today has never seen electricity.”
Okonji further stated that all their efforts to get in touch with her at her Asaba resident proves abortive as she instructed her security aides to throw out anyone from her village.
”During campaigns, Angela used to visit Ogwashi-Uku on daily basis and during a town hall meeting with our elders she swore to help us with the light issue but since after elections, she has abandoned us to our fate.”
However, all efforts to contact Hon. Angela proved abortive as she didn’t answer to phone calls put across to her, she didn’t also respond to text messages sent to her.
