Two EFCC Witnesses Confirm Sen Goje Respect For Financial Discipline

The permanent secretary security ,Gombe State government Dr sani has affirmed that the former Governor, senator Danjuma Goje did not bridge the financial, due process and store regulations in award for contracts of food supply between 2003 to 2011 while in office.

Dr Sani Dajure disclosed this during his cross examination by the defense counsel Esq Adeniyi Adekinto ,said that the exhibit HHH1 and HHH2 tender as due process, financial regulation and store regulation was dully follow by the defendant.

He decried that the former governor of Gombe State who is the first accused person was concern that all financial regulation should follow due process and he also introduced due process in 2008.

He explained that the store regulation,financial regulation which is an old rule since the colonial days  was only modified to make it easy for administrative Confidence .

Dr Sani told the court that the guidelines provide for contract up to N500,000.00 will be handle by the Governor and has to go through tender bidding but if the contract is below the director or the permanent secretary in charge of the ministry award that.

Justice B. O. Quadiri  of the  Federal High Court of  Nigeria, Jos Division  adjourned the case to the 20th January, 2017 in suit filed by the Economic and Financial Crime  Commission ,EFCC, and Sen Danjuma Goje  and four others.

However, the case which was scheduled for out of court settlement suffer another setback as the counsel to the EFCC and that of Senator Danjuma Goje and Four others failed to reach an agreement.

The principal witness told the court that, as chief administrative and  accountant, he prepare budget for government house, also process all financial documents such as contract and other expenditure for governor approval.

He also identified his statement dated 10/11/2016 which was admitted as exhibit and Mark HHH1 and HHH2

The EFCC counsel  Esq  Wahab Shittu said that he has 16 witnesses to be presented before the honourable court and only 4 witness has been testified but the remaining 12 persons are still  pending in the list.

The second witness, Alh Mohammed B. Bajure  in his statement dated 15/11/2016 revealed that he presented tax clearance certificate of  3 years receipt of 2002,2003 and 2004 when the accused refuse to pay from 2005 till 2016.

He added that Sabo Mohammed, Salau Mohammed    ,real integrated service Nig Ltd when EFCC wrote us a letter and we response that only Sabo Mohammed was in their custody for tax defrauding.
