Trekkers Converge In Zaria Ahead Of Arba’een Commemoration In Nigeria By Ibrahim Usman

Millions of Muslims will today arrive and camp at the outskirt of Zaria in preparation for the Arba’een commemoration on Saturday.

Seven axis of the mass symbolic trek are currently on their last lap, heading for the final destination, to pick up early morning of Saturday to Hussainiyyah Baqiyyatullah where His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky will address the mammoth gathering.

The trekkers will come from seven axis namely Kano, Kaduna, Pambegua, Funtua, Malumfashi, Birnin Gwari and Igabi, comprising neighbouring towns.

The mass trek by members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria under His Eminence Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky is an annual symbolic event to recall the trial and tribulation faced by the Household of the Holy Prophet after the martyrdom of Imam Husain (AS} in Karbala.
