Traditional Ruler, Four Others Arraigned Over Rampaging Killings In Wase

At least no fewer than two traditional title holders in Kadarko District of Wase Local Government Council were arrested in connection to the current dastardly attacks and killings of innocent citizens in Plateau State.

A Langtang North Upper Area Court on Wednesday arraigned the traditional ruler of Wadata Arewa   for allegedly threatening the life of Tarok-speaking natives of  Wase LGA

The security personnel told the court to take note of the defendant’s disobedience to the rampaging killings.

He alleged that the action was an effort to erase HRH Lot Nden as the second-class community traditional ruler from history.

The Chiroma Wadata Arewa(Dindam Bulus Rimkat and Shaltim Ramdur were napped including one of his Commander and 3 Accomplice arrested and arraigned on Tuesday at Upper Area court Langtang North LGA  premises by joint security operatives and the Police Divisional of Wase.

However, the Eastern Area command included Civil Defense from Langtang North. Chiroma Arewa, Shaltim Ramdur, and three others were standing trials for conspiracy, a threat to life, and assault.

The Cironman Arewa wadata Arewa community of  Kadarko Chiefdom of Wase Local Government Council of Plateau State has been arrested by the security agencies over alleged killing and terrorizing Kadarko Chiefdom.

The community expressed concern that the level of attacks, kidnapping, and ransom payment gave them sleepless nights as the kingpin was nabbed by the security personnel where the residents celebrated with excitement among well-meaning Tarok people over the arrest of Chiroma of Wadata arewa by security operatives yesterday in Langtang town.

According to the community, the accused persons are members of their community who were supposed to unify Tarok-speaking natives of Bantu in the Central Africa Republic but took the path of crime and criminality to survive.

Chiroma Arewa whom information revealed some groups of people sponsored him to wreak havoc since 2019 due to the killings of Innocents Tarok people in Wase.

This medium gathered that the accused persons embarked on kidnapping for ransom and using these boys to hijack and put fire on people’s farmlands by creating a clannish agenda of divide and rule.

The suspected, accused persons were secretly planning to attack Kadarko district as they were paid by assailants to cause confusion during the farming season as speculated after his arrest, they were coming to cause havoc.

The Ponzhi Kadarko District, HRH . Lot Nden appealed to the state government to provide security network in Wase LGA to curtail incessant attacks on vulnerable farmers.

He admonished the state government to please do more by coming to the aid of Tarok people of kadarko community and arresting all those criminal elements trying to cause problems in Tarok land.

Mr. Emmanuel G. Adamu of Wadata Arewa was fingered on the wanted list since the arrest of Shehu Jatau as one of the Shehu Commanders during the upheaval rocking the Wase communities.
