How Traditional Ruler, 4 Others Were Killed In Bokkos, Plateau

At least no fewer than four persons including a Royal Father of Butura community in Bokkos Local Government Area (LGA), Plateau State, Mr. Haruna Maren were reportedly killed last week by unknown gunmen.

The attackers who were heavily armed invaded the area at about midnight  in Tadai community  of Monguna district leaving behind harvest of casualties as well as hacking  one Mashat Bala, Benjamin Rafan and also involving one Fulani herdsman’s ,Mallam  Idi Bucho to dead.

An eye witness in the community disclosed that the attack was carried out by three Fulani men armed with AK47 rifles and were speaking in fulfulde to communicating other.

Information available to universalreporters247.com revealed that the late Galadima (Community leader) of Monguna was recently installed following the demise of the former paramount ruler as a result of heart attack.

The deceased senior traditional chief, the Saf Monguna, Chief Daniel Adake was murdered  in 2015  in similar attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen as alleged by the community.

“It would be recalled that ,in 2016 the Paramount Traditional Ruler of Bokkos Local Government Council , Saf Lazarus Agai in 2016 was gun down by suspected unknown gun men who ambushed him with his grandson while returning from farm ”

However, security officials have also pledged to investigate and prosecute all involved in the attacks but nothing has yet been heard.
