Thousands Of Shiites Followers In Lafia March In Protest Of Their Leader

Thousands of Shiites followers in Lafia ,the Nasarawa state capital embarked on peaceful protest over what they described as unlawful detention of Shaikh Ibrahim Zakzaky by the Army in Zaria recently.

The One Thousand march protest again may not be unconnected to what Shiites members referred to as brutal killings and molestation of their members by the military.

This the second time Shiites in Lafia joined other followers of Zakzaky expressing their grievances, the recent protest which started from Massallacin including the aged ,women and underage carrying flags and placards with inscription “Free Sheik Zakzakky”, Free Mallam .

At the time of filling this report, Members of Shiites did not cause obstruction along the major Shendam road instead they used the pedestrian lane singing the praise of Zakzaky, The protest was devoid of demonstration.
