A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress,(APC ) and Plateau North Senatorial aspirant ,Hon.Emmanuel Timothy Amanchi has said ,he is deeply saddened and utterly heartbroken by the recent wave of killings in Jos and other parts of our beloved Plateau State.
He condemned the senseless and barbaric acts of violence, which have cruelly cut short innocent lives and plunged countless families into unbearable grief, are wholly condemnable and have no place whatsoever in our society.
Amb.James David the media team in a statement made available to this medium in Jos admonished citizens to imbibe the spirit of peace and tolerance in their conduct .
Amanchi stressed that the recurring nature of these attacks — leaving in their wake loss of lives, destruction of property, and a climate of fear among our people — is a devastating blow to the peace, harmony, and unity that Plateau State has long been cherished for across Nigeria and beyond.
In his statement of comfort to the families who have lost their dear ones in these tragic circumstances, he extend his deepest and most heartfelt condolences.
” I grieve with you. No words are sufficient to ease the weight of your pain, but please know that you are not alone — the hearts of many are with you during this incredibly difficult time.
“No community, no family, and no individual should ever have to live under the constant shadow of fear, violence, and insecurity. Every life lost is one too many, and every tear shed by a bereaved family is a reminder of the urgent work that must be done”,he added.
He therefore make a strong and unequivocal call on all security agencies, government authorities, and relevant stakeholders to take immediate, decisive, and sustained action to bring the perpetrators of these heinous acts to justice without delay.
According to him, beyond security measures, there is a compelling and urgent need for sincere dialogue, genuine reconciliation, and deep community cooperation to break this persistent and painful cycle of violence once and for all.
He equally call on all citizens of Plateau State — regardless of tribe, religion, or background — to stand firmly together as one people, choosing the path of peace, mutual respect, and understanding over division and destruction.
*The bloodshed must stop. Plateau State deserves better, and together, we can and must do better.*
May the souls of the departed rest in eternal peace, and may Almighty God grant comfort, strength, and healing to all the bereaved families across our dear state.
Emmanuel Amanchi ,”My dear brothers and sisters across the six Local Government Areas of Plateau North—Jos North, Jos East, Bassa, Barkin Ladi, Riyom, and Jos South—
“I speak to you today not just as a candidate, but as a fellow citizen who feels your pain, understands your struggles, and shares your hopes for a safer, stronger, and more united future.
“For too long, our communities have faced the heavy burden of insecurity—fear in our villages, uncertainty in our farms, and sleepless nights in our homes. This is not the Plateau North we know. This is not the future we deserve “Amanchi stressed.
But I want you to remember this: our story is not over. Our strength is greater than our struggles.
Plateau North is blessed with resilient people—farmers, traders, youth, elders—people of courage, faith, and unity. Together, we have overcome challenges before, and together, we will rise again.
My commitment to you is clear:
We will prioritize community-based security, working closely with local leaders, vigilantes, and security agencies to protect every life and property.
We will push for modern security support, better intelligence gathering, and rapid response systems in our communities.
We will address the root causes by creating jobs for our youth, investing in agriculture, and restoring economic opportunities so that peace can thrive.
We will strengthen unity across ethnic and religious lines, because our diversity is our strength—not our weakness.
To the mothers who worry, to the youth seeking opportunity, to the elders who long for peace—hope is alive. Change is possible.
Let us stand together, not in fear, but in courage. Not divided, but united. Not discouraged, but determined.
Plateau North will rise again. Peace will return. Prosperity will follow.
This is our time. This is our moment.
Together, we will build a future where every child sleeps in peace and every family lives without fear.
Vote for hope. New Idea,Vote for security. Vote for progress.
