Elders of Plateau Chapter of the Council of Ulama  , have reiterated its call on the Federal Government, to curb the “menace” of terrorism in the country.
Secretary-General of the Council Barrister Auwal S. Abdullahi, who disclosed this yesterday  in a press release, said that they observed with dismay the recent bomb blast at the Jos Terminus Market, Kano, Borno, Yobe and Adamawa which has been ravaging the country is not condemnable, but “also very callous.”
“Islam the religion of peace totally condemns the killing of innocent souls whether that of Muslims, Christians or Pagans. It says that if you take a life unjustly it is though you have taken the life of a nation,” the release reads in part.
It further said, that the perpetrators of the killings have no religious basis, adding that their actions are clear contradictions to the teachings of the Holy books.

The Council while commiserating with the families of those who loss their lives, and wishing those injured a quick recovery from their wounds, it prayed Allah for the restoration of desired peace in the country
