Gunmen have kidnapped Alhaji Yusuf Inuwa the All Progressive Congress candidate for the seat of the state House of Assembly Ganjuwa west constituency of Bauchi sate along Miya- Bauchi road
Family source attributed the incident to the April election against the PDP when the victim is said to be popular and acceptable candidate in the area
Residents said the development has thrown the entire community into mourning and palpable fear of the unknown.
Speaking to our reporter on the matter, the Police Area Commander in charge of the area Mr. Bassey, confirmed the incident but said investigation is ongoing.
Meanwhile, the driver of the kidnapped politician, Danliti Amadu Rungo told newsmen that the abductors came with a black 406 Peugeot salon car and forced them to stop at gun point.
Malam Danliti said the abductors took the aspirant away immediately to undisclosed destination and spared him the driver
On their part, the family of the kidnapped candidate and his supporters has called for intensive prayers in order to seek for divine intervention on the matter.
They called on security agents in the state to embark on intensive search in order to rescue the candidate from the abductors.
