For Supporting Saraki On His CCT Trial, Angry Constituents Stone Bauchi Senator, Isa Misau, Threatens To Recall Him

A political group known as Misau concern citizens has threatened to recall against senator Isa Hamma Misau from the National Assembly.

This was just as irate youths were said to stone senator Isa Hamma in Ningi LGA of the state, following his alleged  support to the  Senate president Dr Bukola Saraki who is under trial by  the Code of Conduct tribunal (CCT) over allege false declaration of assets.

Chairman of the forum Dan Asabe Abdu Misau told newsmen in Misau that Hamma has assumed the duty he was not sent to perform in the senate chamber for supporting Saraki.

The forum also  warned Hamma to toe the path of honour and distance self from the embattled senate president or face sack from the constituents.

Abdu thundered that Hamma is doing what he was not voted for, as he said that the  people’s verdict for development is the supreme idea of his emergence as senator for Bauchi  North central.

” By supporting Saraki, it means Senator Hamma is given his weight in support of corrupt practice in the country, as such, we will not relent in our effort to recall Hamma unless he agreed to the wishes of the constituents not to  support Saraki’ said” Abdu

In the same vain, irate youths in Ningi yesterday allegedly  stoned Senator Hamma for his support for Saraki who is standing trial at the CCT following false declaration of assets.

It was gathered that, the angry youths  had smashed the Senator’s vehicle with windscreen destroyed as it took the quick intervention of firm security personnel to stop them.

An eyewitness said, the situation, however,  became free for all  between the Security personnel and the youths in an  apparent attempt to rescue the Senator.

Sources close to the Senator’s aide, who craved for anonymity, said the Senator is holding meeting with some stakeholders to douse the tension.

When this medium spoke to the Bauchi State Police Command Spokesman DSP Mohammed Haruna, he said the Command is yet to be  brief of the incident,  so he said he is not aware as at the time of filling this report.
