Sule Lamido Left No Debt To The Incoming Government As Liabilities By Umar Faruq Usman Dutse

Speaker of the Jigawa state house of Assembly, Adamu Ahmed Sarawa has revealed that the administration of Governor Sule Lamido is leaving behind no any debt to the incoming government as loan or liabilities.

Speaking to Newsmen at his residence over the weekend, the speaker said the money which accumulated to N11 billion was used by the administration of Sule Lamido in the construction of Dutse International Airport and government used other resources with the expectation that the federal government will refund it but up to now it fails to do so, adding that this cannot be called a debt as “we borrow money from our source and we are expecting money from FG”.

our reporter reports that, Governor Sule Lamido was recently quoted as saying that he will leave behind a debt of N11billon for the incoming administration of Badaru Abubakar and even urged them to vigorously pursue the immediate payment of the money from the federal government to enable them settle outstanding debts owned the state by various contractors.

The speaker who lost his senatorial seat to APC candidate in the Jigawa North-East district explained faulted federal government in the matter as if it has settle the N11billion used in the construction of the airport the matter would not be a subject of discussion,  pointed out that as Muslim he accepted his defeat as a destiny from God having believe that he giveth power to whom he wish at any given time.

Honorable Sarawa commended the government of Sule Lamido for the harmonious working relationship with the legislative arm of government in the last eight years of their reign, saying however that no state has ever enjoy such cordial working relationship and they are proud of it.
