The President Student Union Government College of Education, Akwanga State Nasarawa State, Comrade Paul Emmanuel has appealed to the State Governor, Engr.Abdullahi Alhaji. Sule to consider the plight of staff whose promotions are pending to do the needful by committing himself to avoid a prolonged strike.
He disclosed this while reacting over the strike declared by College of Education Academic Staff Union, Non Academic Staff and the Senior Staff of Colleges of Education.
Paul confided that the timely intervention of the Chief executive became imperative considering the commitment of state to the development of education.
He also called on students of the College to remain calm after passing all the processes of registration.
Comrade Paul Emmanuel applauded the boldness and resilience of Governor Abdullahi Sule for his unprecedented stride in turning around the College within the shortest time.
In a related development, the Student Union Government President commended the management of the College for the renovation of hostels accommodation in the institution.
Paul hinted this in an interview during an inspection of dilapidated hostels and reconstruction of sewages in January 2020 with the acting Director of Works, Engr.Mohammed Idris and members of his team.
Saying “for the first time the hostels built for the past thirty years passes through renovation and the reconstruction of all dilapidated sewages build the same period with the structures.
