Stop Heavy Trucks From Killings Our People, Vehicle Users Along Polo Roundabout-Youth Leaders Cry Out

The Central Youth Council, Jenta Adamu ward Youth comprises of Kabong Central Youth Forum, Angwan Soya Jenta Adamu, has presented a letter to the member representing Jos North-west constituency to taking to the floor of the house over the incessant loss of lives properties by to stop heavy trucks operating at polo roundabout causing accident and dead of Nigerian.
In a protest letter presented to the Member, Hon Mrs. Esther Dusu signed by Theophilus Kadiri, Vice Chairman CYC Jenta Adamu ward, Comrade Sylvalnus Boniface, Kabong youth, Bala Emmanuel Ajik, Elder Haruna Adiwu Atunkara, and Pam Emmanuel Jama, Nanya during the protest on Monday in Jos.
“We the entire committee members are protesting against the high rate at which heavy trucks have been killing our people along with polo roundabout and its environment, we do hereby present our case to you ma,” the letter reads.
According to them, “we are calling on Rt, Hon Speaker, Ayuba Abok Azi to see the negative effects of the destruction of lives and properties of our citizens are enormous; many innocent victims have gone beyond due to recklessness of such users so as a result, we the central youth council of Jenta Adamu ward communities of Jos North LGA, however, today have agreed to embark on a peaceful protest to press in for government intervention “.
Nanya Silas, we expressed our regret over the constant accident on our road where these motorists plying polo roundabout are always killing us so we want the member representing us to present our plight on the floor of the house.
The lives of many youths are cut short by heavy truck drivers so we are calling on the government to enact a law that can restrict their movement in the daytime until noon to avoid road accidents.
We see an accident that kills one of our Church members a nursing mother and the destruction of lives & properties and government should create alternative roads to regulate or introduce tollgate and make terminal areas to reduce the death rate.
The People Democratic Party, PDP, Jenta Adamu, Hon Tongs Ishaya Bwede said the government needs to empower the vigilante and security personnel to curtail the activities of cultists and rapist in the community.
