The handing over ceremony at headquarters was with colourful parade and official pulling out flags.
General David Enetie also shows appreciation to the members of the force for supporting him throughout his stay on the Plateau.
He advised the STF members that they have to be professional, discipline and remain focus in carrying out their duty.
He urged them to concentrate on building issue that will bring peace and to also be good ambassador of the military.
“I am living Plateau state very high because I have done my very best in the area of welfare of members and maintaining peace among communities with the lean resources” adding that the STF were highly professional and motivated so I ask you all to extend similar gesture to the incoming commander.
The new commander, Major General Tabugbo Ude promised to take the issue of staff welfare seriously.
He warned all the STF members against extortion of money in the market or go about molesting innocent civilian on streets.
Ude assured of going round for visit in all the sectors across the state and orientate them on how to handle security issues.
He called for prayer and support to enable him function effectively to bring the crisis under control.
The General appealed to journalists to avoid sensational reportage by always cross checking their facts before heading to press.
