The Special Task Force (STF) maintaining peace in Jos and environs has handed over the sum of N265, 000 to a trader who was accosted at gun point by  armed robbers early this month.
The STF Commander Major-General David Enetie who handed the money to Mrs. Caroline Agada said the armed robbers had been arrested and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for prosecution but said he didn’t want to tie down the trader’s business money.
General Enetie said “the suspects will be handed over to the police but we didn’t want to tie down her money by handing it over since it is for her business and the case may linger in court.”
Mrs. Agada who expressed joy over the return of the money said she was accosted by the robber around old airport Junction after she had withdrawn the money from a bank on the 8 of December.
She said ” I was in a tricycle and wanted to buy rice around NASCO fibre when some people double crossed me but I didn’t know that one of the STF office was watching so they went after them and today my money has been returned to me. I just want to say thank you to the STF and I pray the Lord will give them more strength to do their job.”
