STF Embarks On Community Projects ,Commissioned Boreholes In Plateau And Bauchi By Yakubu Busari, Jos
The Special Task Force (STF)popularly known as” Operation Safe” Heaven in Plateau and parts of Bauchi States yesterday has commissioned a borehole for the people of Doron/Pandadi village in Foron district, Barkin Ladi local government area of Plateau State.
While commissioning the boreholes , the STF Commander, Major General David Enetie said ,the task force had last year promised to embarked on community development projects to help the people of the mentioned areas.
He described the exercise as a model for the Berom and Fulani communities which he urged them to imbibe the spirit of harmonious coexistence.
Enetie noted that the borehole project was aimed at enhancing the peaceful coexistence between the locals and settlers as well as other neighbouring communities.
Adding that “the water project is for everybody here, guard and protect it as your own, care and maintenance is your responsibility.”
He said the STF had part of its civil-military relationship assisted in empowering widows as well as donated school furniture in various communities in the State and promised to do more.
In their respective remarks, the village head of Doron and Barkin Ladi local government Chairman, Ishaya Gwon Pam and Emmanuel Loman respectively thanked the STF For its efforts in providing security as well as social amenities to the people
