Step Aside For Proper Investigation-NSHA Tells Governor’s Aide On Development Control

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has told the Senior Special Assistant to Governor. Abdullahi Sule on Development control, Arch. Stanley Buba to step aside for proper investigation.

 

The Speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe announced the resolution of the Assembly after prolonged deliberation by lawmakers.

 

The Assembly asked Arch. Stanley Buba to step aside to enable the committee to investigate the activities of his office ranging from abuse of office and the law establishing the Nasarawa Urban Development Board which gave the Managing Director the power as the overall head to sign documents.

 

The House also in their findings discovered that the embattled SSA make approval one week after his appearance before the committee on NUDB headed by Hon. Suleiman Azara.

 

The Chairman Committee on NUDB, Suleiman Azara drew the attention of the House over a text message posted by the embattled SSA challenging the decision of the Assembly directing the M.D NUDB to take charge of the two zonal offices while the SSA take charge of the western zone.

 

Arch. Stanley Buba apologizes to the Assembly over the text message posted on the Facebook page of the Nasarawa Urban Development Board.

Hon. Daniel Ogazi (APC) representing Kokona East constituency in his submission averred that a committee should be set up to probe the activities of the SSA on Development control

 

Hon. Mohammed Okpoku (APC) representing Udege-Loko constituency seconded his colleague on the need to investigate the SSA as he asked  Stanley Buba whether he collected money as well in the custody of receipt of Nasarawa State Government.

 

The SSA on Development control while answering questions confided that he granted approvals.

 

Stanley Buba uncovered to the House members that the tenure of the Managing Director, Adamu Sule has since expired.

 

The House of Assembly in it resolution directed the SSA on Development control to step aside to enable the committee to conduct its investigation without any interference while a five-man committee has been set up.

 

Hon.David Maiyaki to serve as the Chairman of the committee

Hon. Mohammed Okpoku serves as the Deputy Chairman, Hon. Suleiman Azara and Abdullahi Angibi as members while the Deputy clerk.
