Son Of Gomwalk Receives Ngas People’s Traditional Blessing By Yakubu Busari,Jos

The people of Ngas speaking natives of Plateau Central have been under pressure to anoint Yilji Gomwalk as the running mate to Senator Gyang Pwajok ahead of February.

The People Democratic Party (PDP) governorship running mate, Yilji Gomwalk after receiving his ancestral blessings from both the traditional and political class of his home community of Kanke local government area of Plateau state, our correspondent gathered that traditional incantations were chanted to the Ngas ancestors for the victory of the PDP in the state during his visit on Tuesday with an appeal to Yilji to emulate his father, the late Joseph Gomwalk.

It was revealed that the district head of Kapwir in Kanke, Morris Danbaba who spoke on behalf of traditional rulers expressed gratitude to Sen. Gyang Pwajok for finding their son worthy of nomination for the running mate.

The chairman of Kanke local government area, John Ishaku Gotau also assured him of a landslide as the footprints of the late Joseph Gomwalk has catapulted Yilji, his son into a political limelight adding that history will repeat itself.

Gatau said Kanke is 100 percent PDP and urged the people to vote the party in next month’s general elections.

Earlier, the PDP governorship running mate, Yilji Gomwalk said he was home to receive the blessings of his people before he goes to other communities to campaign for the party.

Gomwalk said he cannot afford to fail the people of Kanke and Plateau state because of his background as the son of the first military governor of the defunct Benue/Plateau state.
