Slow Pace Of Preparation In Federal Polytechnic Nasarawa Ahead Of NIPOGA Games

The paucity of fund has been attributed to the slow pace of preparations ahead of the 19th edition of Nigeria Polytechnics Games scheduled to be declared open by governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa state this weekend.

Insider from the Local Organising Committee attributed the major constraint of the 19th Polytechnic Games to paucity of fund and poor arrangement.

But the chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Dr. Yahaya Baba Usman decried lack of finances as the major huddles affecting the games.

When asked on the numbers of games, the LOC chairman averred that no fewer than thirty games would be display there.

Dr. Usman appealed to athletes to imbibe the spirit of maintenance culture, saying any athletes caught misplacing facilities would face the consequences of their temerity.

The rector in an interview commended the state governor for the released of five million for the stiff preparation of the games, Professor Shettima Saidu stated this in an exclusive interview with universalrepirters247.com.

Shettima hinted that there was a fair preparation for the hosting of 19th NIPOGA Game, adding that it was not about hosting but about hosting and winning, he further said stringent security measure has been put in place to ensure a hitch- free Games.
