Professor Muhammad Sanusi Liman,the Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Lafia has warned students of the institution to shun anti-social behavior and other vices such as examination malpractices.
The Vice Chancellor also warned students over money and sex for marks, he hinted this during the 2017-2018 matriculation.
He urged the students to accord premise to learning as while extracurricular facilities to develop themselves.
Saying only hard work would make the stay of students meaningful and useful to the University community.
Professor Liman reeled out some of the obstacles facing the University to include lack of access road, bridges, culverts and acute shortage of security as a constraint to the University.
He further maintained that electricity was also a serious challenges to the institution, adding that chunck amount of money was expended on the fueling of standby generator.
Other huddles facing the University also include inadequate lecture rooms, laboratories,water,inter campus transportation and acute shortage of hostels.
The Vice Chancellor commended the newly admitted students for their worthy attainment ,he further extended the commendation to Parents and Guardian alike for the effort and sacrifices which enabled their wards to be part of the historic day in academic development.
“The University graduated three sets of students in the 2014-1015 ,2015-2016 and 2016-2017 academic sessions”.
He averred that the University from inception has taken a bold steps geared towards not only consolidating the achievements recorded by the institution.
Professor Sanusi Liman while given detail of the achievements recorded added that new academic Programmes and structures are being established which he says included
” Infrastructural development of two 250 seat capacity lecture halls built through direct labour from Internally Generated Revenue.
He said the institution also succeeded in establishment of new faculties and programmes ,he however asserted that the senate of the University approved the commencement of
