Shocker As An Unidentified Mother Abandons A Day Old Baby At RCM Primary School Doma, Nasarawa (Photos Inside)

A day old baby was abandoned by an unidentified mother at Doma Roman Catholic Mission (RCM) IN Nasarawa State on Sunday.

The scene which has become the cynosure of all eyes has seen unprecedented crowd troop out to the premises to witness the ungodly act.

The Welfare officer of Doma Local government could not be reached as at press time to comment on the matter.

When universalreporters247.com contacted the nursing mother of Doma LGA, the Welfare officer, Madam Latifat Abubakar stated that a female baby was handed over to her by the Welfare Department of Doma Local Government.

She stated further that she was booked to have a discussion with the Interim Management Committee chairman of the Area, Rabo Sani, even as she called on the state government and the affluent in the state to assist.

The Chairman could not be reached in spite of series of attempts.

The Police Public Relations Officer DSP Idirisu Kennedy in an interview confided that he was alerted over the abandoned baby.

“The Divisional Police Officer of Doma Local Government revealed that a day old baby was abandoned by an unidentified mother in a primary school and was handed over to the Welfare Department of the Local Government”.

This brings to three numbers of such cases this year, of recent a day old baby was abandoned at the premises of Eid mosque in Lafia.

Another of such bizarre was the killing of a day old baby by Nwuese of Kadarko community of Jenkwe Development Area.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon.Mary Emwugulu could not be reached for comment.
