Shippers Council Assures Of Resumption Of Work At Federal Inland Dry Port In Jos

The Nigerian Shippers council ,Plateau state branch coordinator ,Mr Bali Fabong has assured the citizens of Plateau state of  federal government readiness to resume work  at the permanent site of  federal inland dry port in Heipang .

He decried the high level of destruction done on the ongoing building of administrative headquarters that   worth over 300 million naira by the former administration of Jonah Jang.

Fabong stated this at the permanent site of Duncan maritime international limited in Barkin Ladi Local government council, Jos.

He lamented that poor communication between government and the company has resulted to this damage and confusion causing setback to the indigents of Plateau state.

Bali Fabong explained that the multimillionaire project which was flag-off under the regime of President Olusegun Obasanjo on 18th January ,2007 to help states improve on the area of advantage suffered challenges of non acceptance from the past government.

He added, Duncan Jos inland container deport (ICP) under the supervision of federal ministry of transport shippers council is to promote excellence workplace.

Fabong advised government on the way forward stressing they have to put their differences aside and ensure the interest of people comes first before any other personal opinion.

The Ag project manager, Mr Nenfort Gonchen of Duncan international inland container dry port Ltd, said the will soon resume work at the permanent site  ,in Heipang airport in Plateau state.

He disclosed that the project which started eight years ago was threatened to stop for almost one year and work abandoned with materials worth over 300 million naira .

The Chief of Staff Government House, John Dafang who was sited inspecting the level destruction refused to make any comment.
