Two more Aspirants including ,secretary of Shendam Local Government Council Hon Henry Longpoe, has declared his interest to seek for a House of Assembly seat.
Speaking with journalists at the PDP, state secretariat yesterday Longpoe said, after serving two terms as secretary of the council, his constituents have mandated him to move higher to the House of Assembly.
He said ,he has full confidence of clinching the ticket of PDP because of my background, I think I have something to do for the good people of my constitute.
“I wish to personally inform you of the of the declaration of my interest to be elected Member, House of Assembly in the next civilian republic.
“After series of consultation with the good people of my constitute they gave me go ahead, the good people of Shendam gave me the mandate to run the race so I am not afraid
Today marks the beginning of the covenant with my people and I feel deeply blessed to have been used by the Almighty to add value to the material and human conditions of the people.
Longpoe promises to provide the dividends of democracy to the good people of his constitute if elected . Some were dismissed as just the empty promises of another politician.”
Another aspirant, Barr Philip Isah Qua’anpan North constituency also assured of building more hospital to take care of pregnant women and the empowerment of the youths in his constitute.
According to him, the good people Qua’anpan are suffering from lack of health care delivery, which laws will be made to reduce mortality.
In a interview with The Union yesterday , serving two terms as secretary of Shendam, his constituents have mandated him to move higher to the House of Representatives
He emphasized more on tackling the challenges of alcohol consumption is the major killer disease destroying the lives of the rural populace.
“I have laid the foundation for modern Qua’anpan North by establishing a fertilizer blinding company that will help the farmers get the product as when due .
“But beyond the projects, I have economic empowerment programmes I promised to reduce parents with Free interest loans for workers, grant to community development associations.
Barr Isah is known with as a prudent man with commitment in service delivery to the grassroots governance.
“I am encouraged to aspire to serve as your Member in the Plateau State House of Assembly. I need you to obtain the ticket of my party, the People Democratic Party in the primaries in November and ultimately wins the general elections in February 2015.”
