Serving Plateau Councilor From Jos East, Hon.Adam Yakubu Azi Is Facing Allegations Of Raping His Brother’s 8 Year Old Daughter

A Councilor Representing Fursum State Ward of Jos East Local Government Council in Plateau State, Hon. Adam Yakubu Azi, is facing an allegation of rapping his brother’s 8-year-old daughter, whereby he allegedly damaged her reproductive organs  .

Hon.Adam Yakubu Azi was rejected by his ward, but the information available to this medium revealed that the former Speaker, Rt.Hon.Nuhu Ayuba Bok endorsed and imposed him as his sole candidate.

The community leaders alleged that the reasons for his outright rejection were on three issues :

That he has raped one of the school teacher’s daughter name (withheld) then, the community swiftly pressurized the said teacher not to report the incident to security agency.

The community rejected him on account of his drug addiction, as the influence of behaviour now pushed into rapping minors.

They vehemently rejected him based on his criminal records with the DSS, where he absconded from duty for the alleged criminal offense.

However, the minor name withheld who was raped by the councilor Hon.Yakubu Azi was rushed to a private hospital somewhere in Mai-idontarau Sabo of Barkin Ladi LGA where the Doctor confirmed the raped.

The Doctor said that the critical examination results showed that the minor was seriously harmed internally to the extent that she might not likely give birth in her life.

Instead of reporting the matter to the police or human rights commission, some of the councilors’ relations are now pressuring the father, mother of the minor not to report the matter to the relevant authority.

Consequently, the minor mother who is still undergoing heavy treatment was reported to have abandoned her matrimonial home to their biological family house in protest of the ugly incident.

Our medium gathered that she abandoned the marriage to her uncle’s home in Nitseng village, soliciting the family’s support for her daughter as she reported the matter to them.

This medium also gathered that some people are begging her to let go of what has happened, not to drag the family name in public.

Presently, the minor raped mother is now with her biological parents in Doss where she is praying and hoping to get justice.

On this development, the PDP in Fursum electoral ward have sat over the issue by setting up a committee to unravel it which is headed by Hon.Suleiman Musa Azi to thoroughly investigate the alleged rape offense.

The committee further confirmed that the incident of raped labeled against the councilor was true and the stakeholders are now suggesting that the councilor should be replaced immediately with another party loyalist.

Efforts to speak to the PPRO of police did not yield any positive result as his phone was switched off.

Our correspondent sent text after several calls to Jos East Chairman, Hon. Markus Usaini Nyam alias Kaunda, proved abortive as he was not picking calls, as the councilor in question as whose phone has also been off.

However, a group of women in Jos East are agitating that the matter should be reported to the appropriate channel querying that why are some people insisting that the minor raped be swept and buried under the carpet because it is not a first time offense of rape against the accused person.
