Senate President Condoles With Journalist Aminu Manu’s Family

President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has sent his condolences to the family of Aminu Manu, a journalist with Radio France International (RFI), who died on Monday.

 

 

 

He also expressed his sympathy with the Government and people of Plateau State over the untimely death of the frontline broadcaster.

 

 

 

Lawan said he received the news of Manu’s passage with shock and sadness.

 

 

 

“Aminu was a hardworking journalist who exhibited an unbridled passion and patriotism in his work throughout his journalism practice,” Lawan said.

 

 

 

The Senate President also extended his condolences to the Nigerian Union of Journalists, describing Mr. Manu’s death as a great loss to the pen fraternity and journalism profession.

 

 

 

He prayed for the sweet repose of Mr. Manu’s gentle soul and for the Almighty Allah’s comfort for the family he left behind and all his loved ones.
