Rabiu Omaku

Newly admitted students into the Nasarawa State University, Keffi are to pay additional twenty percent of the normal school fees marking the beginning of a new calendar year.

Professor Muhammed Akaro Mainoma said returning students are exempted from the twenty percent increase in tuition fees, he stated this when members of the Correspondent’s Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists paid him a courtesy visit.

He attributed the twenty percent school fees increase to the present economic situation, speaking on the resumption of academic activities in the institution, he said the University fixed 2/01/2017 as resumption date.

“The institution shifted the resumption date to 2/01/2017 to enable the committee working on results to finish their assignment, saying the committee needed two weeks to conclude their assignment”.

While fielding questions on the delay in the collection of original results by graduate of the University, he said results are ready for collection.

“We have violet certain things to serve the situation as he said he would not be responsible for a graduate to miss an opportunity without original result”. We can no longer wait for the school to conduct convocation before issuing original results, said Mainoma.
